What's with the $6 water?

Is anyone else as weirded out as I am by that single small bottle of Evian water (750 ml, which by my calculation is 25.5 lousy ounces) you find in so many hotel rooms selling for six dollars?

Hey Joe - Yeah, I was at a martial arts convention/seminar in Portland, OR two years ago. I was so thrilled the the hotel (Doubletree) was just 'giving me' these nice big bottles of Fiji water. It was soon pointed out to me that the water was not free. I didn't even see the price tag. I mean, they gave away those nice cookies at check in!?
